Reuge Cobalt Blue Porcelain Lipstick Carousel Music Box

A stunning vintage Reuge lipstick carousel featuring deep cobalt blue porcelain accented with delicate hand-painted gold floral sprays and ornate gold-tone metalwork. Each of the carousel doors is decorated with a raised classical woman’s profile and opens to reveal a rich red velvet-lined interior for holding lipsticks.

The combination of cobalt blue, gold detailing, classical motifs, and red velvet makes this an especially beautiful example of these collectible Reuge vanity pieces.

Fitted with a Swiss Reuge musical movement and marked Made in Italy on the underside. Twisting the switch on the bottom starts the music box, while turning the decorative finial at the top opens and closes the carousel doors.
