Porcelain-Framed Portrait

Beautiful vintage "A Cameo Creation" framed portrait depicting the graceful "Isabella Montgomery," a romantic Victorian Revival image after the English master George Romney. The hand-painted white porcelain frame is finished with soft gold gilt scrollwork, delicate pink roses and blue floral sprays, and pierced openwork along the edges — a more decorative variant than the usual gilt-plaster frames in this line.

A domed convex bubble glass sits over the oval portrait, which is set against a rich rust-red velvet mat for a jewel-box effect. The reverse carries the gold "A Cameo Creation" cameo emblem and a paper label reading "Isabella Montgomery BY GEORGE ROMNEY," dating it to the mid-century era when these collectible portraits were produced (c. 1940s–1960s).
