Paper Mache Pumpkin Basket with Vine Handle

A wonderfully whimsical vintage paper mache pumpkin basket, hand formed and painted in a warm autumnal orange with an oversized sculptural pumpkin shape. The ribbed body and irregular scalloped opening give the piece a charming handmade quality reminiscent of early folk-art Halloween decorations.

An arched handle rises dramatically above the pumpkin and is entwined with a dimensional green vine, complete with curling tendrils, leaves, and a small pumpkin blossom or bud. The hand-shaped details and slightly exaggerated proportions give this basket so much personality.

Perfect for displaying dried florals, branches, Halloween treats, or simply styled on its own as a statement piece for fall and Halloween. Its sculptural form makes it just as much a piece of folk art as a decorative basket.

Measures 14” tall and 10” wide.
