Italian Hand-Carved Alabaster Jewelry Box

Beautiful vintage Italian hand-carved alabaster jewelry box in a rich reddish-brown marbled stone, glazed to a deep, glossy cherry-and-oxblood shine. A distinctive blue-grey textured band wraps the rim and lid border, giving this little keepsake box a striking, collected look.

The rectangular form has gently rounded sides, a slightly footed base, and a hinged lid that opens to a smooth stone-lined interior. The underside carries its original foil stamp reading "Genuine Alabaster · Hand Carved · Made in Italy," a lovely nod to its mid-century Italian craftsmanship.
