Stunning vintage hand-carved and hand-painted wooden common loon decoy, capturing the quiet elegance of the lake-country waterfowl. The glossy black head, slender bill, and inset red-brown glass eyes are beautifully rendered, while the back and wings carry the loon's signature cream-and-black checkerboard spotting and a delicate striped necklace at the throat. The buff breast and finely incised feather detailing make this a truly collectible folk-art piece.

The underside is branded with the carver's signature "Kent" alongside a small loon logo, and shows two drilled keel holes typical of decoy work.
