Gold Gilt Ornate Cameo Portrait Frame with Velvet Matting

A beautiful vintage oval portrait frame featuring an elegant reproduction of Lady Cynthia Capel by English portrait artist John Hayter. The delicate portrait depicts a lovely young woman with softly curled hair, dressed in flowing blue, white, and rose-colored fabrics with gold jewelry.

The portrait is surrounded by a rich, warm rust-colored velvet mat and an intricate gold-tone inner frame with delicate beaded detailing. An elaborate outer frame features sweeping openwork scrolls and ornate foliate decoration, creating a wonderfully romantic, old-world appearance.

The reverse retains its original labels reading “A Cameo Creation” and “Lady Cynthia Capel by John Hayter.” The frame includes a hanging attachment and displays beautifully on the included decorative easel.
