Cast Brass Standing Altar Crucifix with Radiant Sunburst

Stunning vintage cast brass standing altar crucifix, beautifully modeled with a gilt figure of Christ set against a glowing sunburst gloria of radiating rays. Slender turned finials cap each arm of the cross, and an "INRI" banner crowns the top.

Rising from a turned baluster stem with a spherical knop, the cross rests on an ornate domed foot engraved with delicate laurel-leaf and radiating palmette detailing. The warm brass finish and softly worn gilt highlights lend this devotional piece a truly romantic, timeworn character.

A graceful focal point for an altar, mantel, entryway console, or a quiet corner devoted to reflection.
