Bust After Raffaelle Monti’s “The Mother”

Elegant vintage bust depicting “The Mother” by renowned Italian sculptor Raffaelle Monti, featuring a tender scene of a mother lovingly embracing her child beneath flowing drapery. This beautifully detailed sculpture is stamped with Monti’s name and the year 1871, and was later produced by Alexander Backer Co. Inc. during the 1920s–1930s. The soft ivory finish and graceful classical styling make it a striking decorative piece for a mantel, bookshelf, or collection of fine sculpture.
