Alexander Backer Chalkware Girl Bust Sculpture

A beautiful vintage chalkware bust by Alexander Backer, depicting a young girl with delicately sculpted facial features and her hair swept into an elegant updo accented with a bow. The soft ivory-toned finish gives the sculpture the appearance of carved stone or alabaster.

The figure rests atop a classic pedestal base, creating a lovely neoclassical-inspired silhouette. Fine sculptural details throughout the hair, eyes, and facial features give the piece an especially graceful presence from every angle.

 Measures 9.5” tall.
