Murano Style Tortoiseshell Art Glass Female Torso Vase

A striking sculptural art glass vase formed in the shape of a woman’s torso, with dramatic curves that give the piece an almost couture-like silhouette. The glass is richly patterned in deep chocolate brown, amber and golden tones, creating a beautiful tortoiseshell effect that shifts and changes as light moves across the surface.

The exaggerated shoulders taper into a narrow waist before flaring gently at the base, while the upper opening is finished with a beautifully folded, asymmetrical rim. A warm golden interior provides a gorgeous contrast against the darker exterior glass and emphasizes the fluid, hand-worked quality of the form.

Bold, glamorous and wonderfully unusual, this is as much a piece of sculpture as it is a functional vase. Its combination of figurative form, saturated tortoiseshell pattern and substantial scale makes it a fantastic statement piece for a console, pedestal, mantel or collected art glass display.
