Large Signed Antique Cut Crystal Silver-Mounted Hinged Vanity Box with Wheel-Cut Floral Lid

Beautiful antique cut crystal vanity box with a domed hinged lid, romantic wheel-cut floral detailing, and a gleaming silver-plated mount. The lid is engraved with a graceful spray of intaglio daisies and trailing leaves, while the heavy crystal base catches the light through crisp hobstar and fan cutting and a scalloped rim.

A silver-plated collar and hinge join the lid to the base, opening to a smooth interior finished with a starburst-cut underside and signed “Steuben.” This is a wonderfully feminine piece, an elegant survivor of the Edwardian dressing table.

Lovely on a vanity for rings, cufflinks, or keepsakes, or styled on a shelf as a jewel-like accent that brings a little old-world romance to any room.
