Rococo Repoussé Footed Jewelry Casket

Stunning antique mini casket by Brainard and Wilson, richly worked all over in romantic Rococo scrollwork, blossoms and trailing foliage. Its rounded bombé form rests on ornately scrolled feet, and the hinged lid lifts to reveal a softly gilded interior framed by a twisted rope border over a silk lining.

The warm, aged gilding gives this little treasure real old-world character, and the underside carries an impressed model number and a small oval cartouche. A jewel of a piece for a vanity or dresser, perfect for rings, keepsakes and small treasures, or simply styled as a glimmering decorative accent.

We sell vintage items that may have been previously used and may show signs of wear. Please review pictures and videos closely. All sales are final.
